Run Your Pump Daily
Circulating water keeps chemicals evenly distributed and prevents stagnation. Aim to run your pump for 8 to 12 hours per day, adjusting based on pool size and weather.
Maintain Proper Water Level
Keep the water level at the midpoint of the skimmer opening. Too low or too high levels affect filtration efficiency.
Avoid Introducing Contaminants
Before swimming, rinse off sunscreen, lotions, or dirt from your body. This helps keep the water clearer and reduces the amount of chemicals needed.
Do a Quick Weekly Check
Set aside 5 minutes each week to walk around your pool and look for anything unusual check to see if the water is clear, if there’s any debris on the bottom, if the water level is correct, and if the pump is making any unusual noises.
